ABOUT ME

Are you dealing with health concerns that never seem to go away? Are you tired of taking medications for years on end? As a Certified Nutrition Consultant, I can help you learn how to change your diet to have a better quality of life. I have been working in the holistic health field since 1992 and have helped hundreds of clients over the years change their approach to food so that they can live healthier, more fulfilling lives.

I have experience working with people with a variety of health concerns including:

  • arthritis

  • blood sugar issues

  • chronic infections

  • diabetes

  • digestive issues

  • GERD and Barrett’s Esophagus

  • large intestine bacteria overgrowth

  • leaky gut

  • small intestine bacteria overgrowth (SIBO)

  • detoxification

  • weight loss… and more.

I take a holistic approach to nutrition, meaning that I work with you to teach you not only what to eat, but also how to be mindful of your emotions and how you respond to those emotions with food. And because changing your lifestyle doesn’t happen overnight, I am here to support you along the way make lasting changes.

MY FOOD PHILOSOPHY

Although all of my food plans are customized for each individual, in general I am a firm believer that our bodies need ample amounts of fresh fruits and vegetables as well as high quantities of healthy fats in order to function properly. Healthy fats (such as saturated and monosaturated fats in avocados, coconut oil, nuts, fish, meat and other animal products) provide many of the nutrients our bodies need and can help support the immune system, reduce inflammation, help with weight loss, cancer prevention, calcium absorption and more.

MY PERSONAL JOURNEY

Like many of the clients I work with, I, too, struggled for years with health issues that wouldn’t go away -- mood swings, low energy, autoimmune issues, and even muscle weakness, numbness, tingling, and vision problems. I saw numerous doctors and underwent many expensive tests, but no one could ever provide me with a diagnosis. The process left me feeling frightened and confused.

However, when a friend referred me to a naturopathic practitioner my world started to look brighter again. After following the recommended food and supplement program customized to my needs, I found myself feeling so much better in just a week! I felt like I was back in control of my body and my life.

That feeling of empowerment is exactly what I want my clients to feel.

You’re in control of your health, body, and well-being. I’m here to remind you of that and give you the necessary tools and knowledge to reach your goals. My goal is to help you understand your own power and put your health back in your hands, because you deserve to live the best quality of life -- every day.
